Our Community Philosophy
We built MapleStarRoom to be a warm, safe space for adults to enjoy free social gaming together. The community is what makes this platform special — not just the games. Every player has a role to play in keeping the room welcoming. These guidelines are not a list of restrictions; they are a shared agreement about the kind of community we want to be.
Respectful Conduct
- Treat every player with courtesy and respect, regardless of their skill level, background, or opinions
- Welcome newcomers and help them find their feet in the community
- Disagree constructively — debate ideas, never attack people
- Avoid sarcasm, passive aggression, or language that could be read as hostile
- If a conversation is becoming heated, step away and return when calmer
What Is Never Acceptable
These will result in immediate suspension:
- Harassment, bullying, or targeted abuse of any player
- Hate speech of any kind — including content targeting race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, or disability
- Sexual content or solicitation of any kind
- Sharing personal information about other players without explicit consent
- Impersonating MapleStarRoom staff or other players
- Deliberately spreading misinformation about games, StarCoins, or the platform
Responsible Gaming in the Community
Discussing responsible gaming openly is encouraged and valued. However, promoting real-money gambling platforms, sharing links to external betting sites, or encouraging others to spend real money in any context is strictly prohibited. If you notice someone who may be struggling, our community guidelines encourage gentle support and direct them to our Responsible Gaming resources.
Reporting & Moderation
All reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours. We do not tolerate false or malicious reports. Moderator decisions are final, though appeals can be submitted to support@maplestarroom.com within 14 days. Sanctions range from warnings to permanent bans depending on severity.
Amendments
These guidelines may be updated as the community evolves. Changes are announced in the community lounge with at least 7 days' notice before taking effect.
